To me, nothing beats a fresh batch of homemade cookies, particularly chocolate chip. Cooking together as a family is fun for all ages, since even children may pitch in and the end products are delicious for everyone.
Here’s a simple chocolate chip cookie recipe you’ll love:
Ingredients
1 package butter pecan, chocolate chip, chocolate fudge, chocolate or yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter or margarine — softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 (6-ounce) package of semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
Direction
Heat oven to 350º.
Combine half of the dry cake mix, butter, vanilla and eggs in a large bowl and mix until smooth.
Stir in the remaining cake mix, nuts and chocolate chips.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges is set (centres will be soft).
Cool for 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
